FCD ETX Skill School
Starting TOMORROW, FCD-ETX and our very own Coach DG will be kicking off our "Skill School" program. This program is open to ALL AGES AND ABILITIES. See below for more information regarding "Skill School".
Coach DG:
- 25 years of coaching experience
- 10 years of teaching “technique only" as Skills Trainer in Fort Worth
- 10 years with One. Soccer Schools working with Juniors (ages 6-10) in Texas, Utah, Idaho & California
- 8 years as “Soccer Class Teacher” at Mildred Haupt Preschool in Fort Worth
- 10 years coaching Academy age club soccer with Sting, Texans & now FCD
- “C” National Coaching license
GOAL OF SKILL SCHOOL – Every player will touch the ball for an hour. Technique will be explained, step-by-step, so every player will walk away knowing how to improve. Every session will start with techniques everyone can do & progress to techniques none of them can do (yet). Finally, we will wrap up with mental recaps asking players to verbalize the correct steps to each technique to seal in the knowledge.
- Bring: ball, plenty of hydration & effort
- Wear: cleats, lots of layers, hats & gloves (we don’t want cold kids at the start)
- NO shin guards needed
- Cost: $30 via online registration (card or e check) or $15 per session walk-up
